8 days (7 nights) walking/sailing holiday dedicated to the ancient defence line Hollandse Waterlinie Only for groups The Hollandse Waterlinie consists of a strip of land of approx. 5 km wide between Muiden at the former Zuiderzee and the Biesbosch in the province Brabant. The area is 85 km long and could be put 40 à 50 cm under water in times of war, to protect the rich and powerful ancient province of Holland from the enemy. In the area of this defence line the Dutch Long Distance Walker Association has planned a walking route of total 145 km length. You can walk this path walk in stages of 25-30 km per day. You will stay on board the Holiday Ship Noorderzon in a comfortable double cabin, with your own bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet (bunk beds, lower beds on request, limited availability). One evening and night will be spent in one of the original fortresses of the defence line Hollandse Waterlinie, while the Noorderzon returns to Amsterdam. The next day, at the end of the route Waterlinie Path, a comfortable touring car will be waiting for you to take you back to Amsterdam, and the Noorderzon. Including at this arrangement is: The accommodation on board of the Holiday Ship Noorderzon and at fortress Fort Vuren. The care is on full-board basis:
